KTVN USA: Positive Impact and Outlook for Security Tokens Offering (STO)

The last panel of the Blockchain Economic Forum is on Fundraising via SIEO and Regulation. The panel is joined by international experts: Sharon Lou (Managing Partner, Asia Pacific Venture Capital) Anndy Lian (Inter-Governmental Blockchain Advisor and Book Author of Blockchain Revolution 2030), Arnie Chaudhuri (Managing Partner, AV Group), Habeed Syed (Corporate and Securities Partner, B.J. Kang Law, Pc), Nizam Ismail (Founder, Ethikom Consultancy), Csaba Robert Horvath (Founder, Fusion Capital Partners) and Valentin Preobrazhenskiy (Founder, LAToken).

The panelists started the discussion by sharing their views on the future of the STO market. The initial comments seemed negative and lack of confidence but later all the panelists clarified their views.

“We are not negative. We are just cautious. STO and blockchain let us look at securities offering in a different manner. Instead of going through hundred of pages of prospectus, blockchain allows all these information to be found on the chain: Verified, transparent and trusted.” Nizam Ismail explained further.

Anndy Lian added “The crypto market in general right now is almost dead. Retail investors in the crypto market has dropped tremendously and their confidence level are low. The introduction of STO will bring in new accredited and global professional Investors into the market. Regulators like Singapore MAS are all ready to embrace this new market and there are already many talks in the global market on how this will change how securities are being traded. It will be impactful for the blockchain market. We will all see positive results in 2020.”

Other pressing issues on how the token economy is going to evolve in 2020 and how regulations will set in for blockchain projects in terms of fundraising were discussed.

“Entrepreneurs like to pushed the boundaries and drive towards innovation.” Arnie Chaudhuri shared. Many of the audiences agree to his perspective. Danny Ee, Founder of Ruby Wallet also shared his views after the forum that Arnie and all the speakers are very sharp: “I am a technologist, I pushed my boundaries too to make sure my wallet works well in the eco system. I want my work to be noticed. I need my investors and supporters to work towards my vision that sometimes can be seemed to be too innovative.”

The panelists are knowledgeable and have given many different angles to the issues raised during the forum. All of them are positive of the blockchain technology and want to see how STO will create positive impact to the market.

The Blockchain Economic Forum is organized by LAToken, a rapidly growing crypto exchange focusing on liquidity for new tokens. It has recently entered CoinMarketCap’s Top 50 by trading volume.

Thanks for the mention at Naver Blog Korea

Hashnet CEOChang Nyoung Suh

Erie News Now: Learning Through Reflection: “The Future of Blockchain is in Our Hands”

Friday, November 22nd 2019, 4:01 PM EST

Anndy Lian believes that the future of blockchain is in our hands and reminded all to reflect. He chaired the panel titled “Blockchain Revolution 2030” at the World Blockchain Summit MARVELS on 20 November 2019 at Shilla Hotel, Seoul. Together with the panel of experts, they discussed the future of blockchain and the trends ahead.

The panel consists of Jonathan Kochmer (Former Amazon and Cofounder of RChain Asia), Jay Liang (Chairman of Hong Kong Blockchain Association), Nicola  Nicolas Jacquet (Director of Marketing of HDAC), Anndy Lian (Inter-governmental Blockchain Advisor of APO), Vazgen Yeghiazar (CEO of EDC Blockchain) and Saul Tarazona (Chairman of Fight to Fame).

Anndy started the panel by asking about how they think blockchain will evolve in the next 3-5 years.

“Blockchain will be in our lives without us knowing. The apps and dapps will adopt blockchain in some way or another without consumers knowing much.” Saul commented. Nicholas agreed on the viewpoint and added that blockchain would become a standard protocol, and it will be used very widely as part of the big system: “It will change our lives without us knowing.”

Vazgen suggested that In the near future, we can even tokenize ourselves. We will tokenize the value of an individual and receive direct investment using tokens. “The future of blockchain is unpredictable and I look forward to the limitless possibilities ahead!”

“In the last 150 years, most of the capital has been concentrated on the rich, but in the coming future, blockchain technology will share capital and expand the opportunity for anyone to join the market.” Jay shared his views.

“For the sake of discussion, I don’t think blockchain can do so much, it will change part of what we are doing right now, but it surely cannot change the world. Bridging the gap between rich and poor is not a job for blockchain. Stopping corruption, fraud, money laundering are also not tasks for this technology. Blockchain can only help to reduce and assist.” Anndy Lian gave a different opinion. “I also see that in the near future, 3-5 years, we will see security tokens go mainstream, and hopefully, the regulations can help to speed up the process for everything else.”

Anndy also gave his comments to the reporter off the stage saying that the future of blockchain is in our hands: “Blockchain is seen like a speculation tool and a big hype to many people and businesses like I have mentioned on the stage. If we want to see a better future for blockchain, we need to do a reality check by not adding on more fluff to the existing hype. We all have our own personal agenda. I can always sing the same song and say things that the general public likes to listen to and make blockchain a savior for humanity, but this is not right. At the right time, we need to properly educate the market and set a good example for our future.”

The panel agreed that blockchain has a very bright future ahead for everyone. Industries like finance, gaming, supply chain, medical and more will benefit from this technology. Industry 4.0, automation, artificial intelligence, deep learning,  internet of things will work more harmoniously together with blockchain. Blockchain will aid in closing up existing gaps such as security and introducing a new trust value.

This is the 7th World Blockchain Summit. The event is supported by Ministry of Science and ICT, Seoul, Busan, Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Association, Busan Economic Promotion Institute, Chungcheongbuk-do Knowledge Industry Promotion Agency, Korea Blockchain Startup Association, Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Association, Korea Blockchain Society and Korea e-Sports Industry.

Park Bong-kyu, who is the Founder and CEO of World Blockchain Summit is very thankful for the support from the Korean community and also his friends from all over the world who came. At the summit, he also had good discussions on future policies with the Politicians. He had also lined up a group of exhibitors to showcase their blockchain work. Lastly, he made an alliance with Gaimin.io, who is based in Europe to develop on the eSports gaming market.

Korea continues to be one of the key countries for blockchain innovation. There will be more events and announcements ahead for the industry in months to come.

Affiliate Marketing in the Age of Blockchain: Experts Share their Views in Philippines

Blockchain Experts from China, Philippines and Singapore were lined up at Affiliate Conference & Expo (ACE) to share how the new technology can help affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing meets blockchain at the first ever Affiliate Conference & Expo in Manila from 21 to 22 November 2019 at the Solaire Resort & Casino.

Trust and transparency are the some of the key missing components in affiliate marketing and coincidentally these problems can be addressed with the adoption of blockchain technology.

Anndy Lian from Singapore, book Author of Blockchain Revolution 2030 and an inter-governmental blockchain advisor gave an individual presentation on what are the vital elements needed for an affiliate marketing scheme to work well in today’s society and how blockchain helps to close up the gap. During the presentation, he described his preferred scenarios for blockchain usage for affiliate marketing. He used an incentive token model for advertising that he trialed with BreezeMaxWeb to illustrate how tokens can draw users to click and get profit by verifying the advertisements on the chain. Then using a gamification model by Gaimin to create stickiness. Last but not least using pr companies like Blockcast.cc to push out verified news within an incentivized network to encourage users to participate in the online and offline activities and promotions within the community.

“The above that I have described is something that we have trialed. The current affiliate marketing programs have a bad name and it will remain that way if we don’t bother to change it. They advertise unethically, many small disclaimers and at times the brand owners of the products are no where to be found. By introducing blockchain to their existing model, it gives users more control over the information they are exposed to, the rewards they worked hard for will also be transparent and this gives ease to the users.” Shared Anndy.

A panel comprised of Jenny Zheng- Cofounder of Blockcast.cc, Jake Villanueva- Investment Manager of Y Investments Philippines Inc, Myrtle Anne- Founder of Blockchain Tides and Anndy Lian were assembled. The panel gave candid views during the panel discussion and that started a series of questions & answers from audiences as they want to find out more.

Jake commented that there are a lot of catching up within the Philippines community on blockchain and crypto currencies. “The communities who believe in blockchain have increased a lot. I can feel the excitement and the enthusiasm. But bear in mind, we are not totally ready yet to embrace this technology. There are needs to invest into infrastructures and educated the general public what is blockchain.”

“I agree with Jake totally. Education is very important and that is why we started Blockcast.cc. This is a platform where we share. Bitcoin, speculations and blockchain technologies have to be carefully distinguished. Coming back to the point on the market not being ready, I think the Philippines market has a great advantage over the rest of ASEAN. Just like China, we skipped the era of credit cards and jumped into a new digital economy with the Alipay and WeChatPay. I strongly believe that blockchain payment can do well in this lovely country!” Jenny added.

Myrtle who is the moderator for the panel, concurred with Jenny’s observations too. “Philippines community for blockchain will grow very strong. I have seen cafes that are trying to use bitcoin as a mode of payment. This is a good move and I think they are ahead of the curve. I have also consulted a project in Philippines who is cleverly using the blockchain technology for their health business. Again, this is very heart warming and my efforts to push this technology forward are gaining adoption.”

“As you know, I do give advice to governments and businesses on blockchain. Philippines government will step up to regulate this industry and we will see more updates in 2020. You will see more trading and securities tokens (STO) regulations soon. This will give users, investors and companies more confidence. It will draw in many new adoption into this industry and I am sure Philippines will stand out from this region when the regulations are in place.” Anndy explained further.

ACE 2019 is the go-to Affiliate Marketing event in Asia for the world’s top Affiliates, Digital Marketers, Merchants and eCommerce entrepreneurs gathered under one roof. Participants network with the top successful Super Affiliates, most prominent regional & global field experts & speakers, world’s top global networks, along with top industry investors & advertisers such as Veronica Andrino, CEO/Founder, Adsolve Co; AlnaverBaltazar, CEO/Founder, SevenGrace Marketing; Melissa Francisco, Head of Sales & Business Development SEA, Optimise Media; Carlito Antonio Jao, Social Management Director, McCann Worldgroup Philippines; Prashant Kala, Country Head, ShopBack Philippines; Chris Mangeura, CMO/Head of Marketing and App Product, Mynt (Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc); Rizal Prasetya, Regional Associate Manager, Affiliates at ZALORA Group; Sean Si, CEO/Founder, SEO Hacker; Janette Toral, Founder, Digital Filipino; AnuragVerma, Head of Sales and Partnerships, Zomato Philippines; Tristan de Belloy, Founder & CEO, Quanta Digital; Ces Dimalanta, Founder/Blogger, Manila Millennial; Carlos Castaño,Head of Sales & Business for Stratuscast Philippines, Inc.; DM Varun,Co-Founder and CEO, STORM Learning; Abigail Victorino, Founder and CEO of StyleGenie; Kurt Ebarita,Social Media Manager, Bonsey Jaden Philippine; Elie Odigie, Digital Marketing and eCommerce Senior Manager, AXA Philippines; Sebastien Caudron, Content President AP, GroupM; Stanley Willer, CEO, HoGaming; Weng Rivera, Country Manager (Philippines), Booking.com; Roy Redd, Motivational Speaker, The Redd Group; Francis Simisim, CEO, Social Light Inc.; Bhavesh Parthi, Head of Affiliates, Oppa888; Munmun Nath, Head of Marketing, Moneymax Philippines.

While affiliate marketing is the key theme of the expo, for the organizers to recognize the importance of blockchain is a good start. Rakuten Japan: Gaimin.io

Calvin分享对Blockcast.cc的记者分享到。

Denver News Updates: WADZ TAKES ON TRADITIONAL PAYMENT FIRMS WITH THE BETA LAUNCH OF ITS APPLICATION

Wadz Takes on Traditional Payment Firms with the Beta Launch of its Application

Singapore-based startup, Wadz, is set to take on traditional payment firms, with its anticipated beta launch on November 25, 2019.

Targeting emerging countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam as a start, Wadz offers an alternative payment technology that will be of benefit to both consumers and merchants.

Wadz stands out by a number of key features including utilization of blockchain technology, easy integration to major shopping cart plug-ins, and near-zero processing fees. It also recognizes cryptocurrency payments.

One demographic on which Wadz is focusing is the “unbanked”. An estimated 200 million people in Indonesia and Vietnam have limited access to banking institutions loans, e-commerce, and health care. Wadz hopes to help these people improve their way of life by enabling new payment modalities for these services.

Wadz will then lead an in-depth discussion on the impact of blockchain technology across industries at PSB Academy City Campus, Singapore on November 27, 2019, at 7pm.

Among the distinguished roster of speakers is Anndy Lian, author of the book “Blockchain Revolution 2030” and blockchain advisor for Asian Productivity Organization (APO). His knowledge of blockchain technology has drawn attention from various international media.

Wadz CEO, Anish Jain, who will also speak in the forum, views this event as an excellent jumping-off point as Wadz goes full steam ahead. “Wadz is off to a promising start after attracting over 50,000 merchants in Indonesia and 5,000 in Vietnam,” he says. “Adopting the innovations Wadz offers will help merchants grow their businesses so we are confident that these numbers will further increase as we move along.”

Moderating the forum is Wadz’s Regional VP of Partnerships and passionate blockchain entrepreneur, Aaron Tan.

This forum is open to all. Interested parties can register for free at https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/blockchain-industrial-impact-wadz-beta-launch-tickets-81420696495.

Fox News: Catching Up with Anndy Lian, Inter-Governmental Blockchain Advisor at the Singapore Fintech and Blockchain Week 2019

The 2019 Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) kicked off on Monday at the Singapore EXPO, marking the first day of the world’s biggest annual fintech gathering. The Blockchain Week follows back to back with SFF. We have met many good projects such as TransferWise, Razer Pay, FlovTec, Zigway and more. We have also managed to catch up with some of the leading blockchain practitioners at Singapore this week. We will collate some interviews and have them featured on our interview section.

Today, we have Mr Anndy Lian with us. He is a blockchain advisor to an inter-governmental organisation, a book author and a strong voice in the blockchain community.

Blockcast.cc: Hi Anndy, good to see you again. It has been a while since we meet. I rememeber the last time we met was in South Korea and ever since I am being sent to the USA office, I have not seen you. How are things?

Anndy Lian: Thanks for asking. Things are great. We have been working on multiple things for the government and also in the midst of going through a RMO application in Singapore for SingDax. Things for me are very hectic and I have been travelling for quite a bit and have not gotten the chance to catch up with your team.

Anndy Lian: Sure that will be good. I will try my best to be tactful and also give you some candid replies.

Blockcast.cc: What is your opinion on the development of the blockchain industry during the last year?

Anndy Lian: I would say that the development of blockchain is slower than what I have expected. As you know, I travel quite a bit and have been actively giving advise to governments agencies on blockchain matters. The people on the grounds are thinking very similar as I do. 2019 to me is supposed to be a less speculative time for cryptocurrencies. More adoption of blockchain should be seen but the numbers does not add up. Many projects came up with good ideas, but fall short of implementing properly. Some of them failed to get funds too. Others will get into new troubles with the changes in the regulations. Well in 2020, I hope to see more traditional companies coming in and also helping some of these good ideas go into execution.

Blockcast.cc: What is your vision on the development of the STO market in the upcoming years?

Anndy Lian: There is a lot to say for this topic. Speaking from my own perspectives. The STO market is very promising and will do well starting in 2020. In Singapore and also in ASEAN, I see regulators stepping up to issue related licences to facilitate the STO market. This is a good sign for the market.

If you look at the overall STO market, the leading country is still United States and if you look at the European side, Switzerland is the champion. The next prominent bloc will be South East Asia and to me Singapore is obviously the lead country pushing this across, getting traction from the neighboring countries. The actual number of STO skyrocketed almost 10 times if you compare the statistics for 2017 and 2019. Again, if you look at it deeper, the smaller STO projects appear to be more successful, the sweet spot is between $1m to around $5m.

With new global investors coming into the STO blockchain scene and this will create a new demand in time to come. As some of you know, my team is working on a new security digital asset exchange call SingDax. We have good support from the regulator and traditional companies too. Like I have mentioned above, the support from traditional companies are very vital in this process of merging the new economy with the old. The value creation is far more than what some can imagine.

I also do see a minus point on how STOs are structured and how blockchain technology can come into play in this security market. Many of the operators, funders and brains behind some of these projects are just too “old school”. There is nothing wrong with being safe, if I may say but being safe is not necessary good when we are innovating. Being safe would also mean that we may not have a real competitive advantage over the existing business models.

Blockast.cc: What do you think about the possibility for accredited investors to participate in opportunities such as SpaceX or other private companies and startups worldwide?

Anndy Lian: Personally I am a fan of Elon Musk and SpaceX of course, projects like this are wonderful and if they are opened for global accredited investors to participate using the blockchain, it will be good news for all of us and also for SpaceX. But then again, you cannot compare SpaceX with all other startups. The risks involved in investing to startups are very high in some aspects. If you look from STO point of view, equity based tokens have very high up side for investors, my take is that projects or companies who are issuing such tokens should be listed on a regulated token exchange for STOs. This can help to defray some risks and also give new investors more confidence.

Blockcast.cc: I also noted that you have not been sharing much recently. Are you slowing down your pace?

Anndy Lian: (Laughs) To be honest, I have been very busy. On my governmental work, I have just completed a training module of over 100 slides for Asian Productivity Organization on Smart Manufacturing and Blockchain where all the members from 22 countries can access to it online.

I am also busy with SingDax. The process is very interesting and promising frankly. If I have more resources, things can move a lot faster. I met regulators regionally, virtual banks, global real estate funds, developers and more. I can’t disclose anything more as I have a board to answer to.

Blockcast.cc: Do you still have time to speak at events? Again, I don’t see any new updates on events that you have spoken on.

Anndy Lian: I can’t stop what I am doing. I want to share as much information to people who want to understand blockchain. There were a couple of events that I have spoken at but did not have the time share.

I was the keynote speaker at Blockchain Summit 2019 in Singapore on 20 September 2019 organized by a India based knowledge partner where I spoke about “The Future Roadmap for Blockchain”.

Also on 17 October 2019 at RHT ASEAN Summit 2019 where I was part of a panel titled “Regional Supply Chain” where we discuss the trends, issues and opportunities for supply chain. During the summit, we also had the honour for SMS Edwin Tong to present us the appointment letter as the Advisory Panel Member for the China-ASEAN Business Alliance.

I am still very active in the market. I think. (Laughs again)

Blockcast.cc: Thanks for your insights again. I do understand where you are coming from especially on the securities side of things. As our usual practice, can we get a quote from you.

Anndy Lian: Ok. I would like to share something different with you today.

“GROW TOGETHER WITH THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY, NOT THE HYPE. DISRUPTION IS JUST BEGINNING.”

Blockcast.cc: Thanks Anndy.

Anndy Lian: Thanks Melody for the interview during this Singapore Fintech and Blockchain Week 2019.

Learning Through Reflection: “The Future of Blockchain is in Our Hands”

Be In News Korea:
