”I have always wanted to do more for the blockchain industry that is why in the recent months, I become an advisor to an intergovernmental organization – Asian Productivity Organization, competed my book- Blockchain Revolution 2030” and if you remember since last year I was already part of the Korea Government giving advice to the Gyeongsangbuk-do province. The decision to leave is mutual and I have informed my board more than 6 months ago for my departure. The last two years have been a very exciting journey and I am grateful to have my team in Linfinity supporting every step I take and handling our clients effectively. I will miss my team members who are located in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and South Korea,” Anndy Lian told the reporter.

Anndy Lian is an early blockchain adopter and experienced serial entrepreneur who is known for his work in the government sector. He is a best selling book author- “NFT: From Zero to Hero” and “Blockchain Revolution 2030”.

Currently, he is appointed as the Chief Digital Advisor at Mongolia Productivity Organization, championing national digitization. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Chairman of BigONE Exchange, a global top 30 ranked crypto spot exchange and was also the Advisory Board Member for Hyundai DAC, the blockchain arm of South Korea’s largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group. Lian played a pivotal role as the Blockchain Advisor for Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), an intergovernmental organization committed to improving productivity in the Asia-Pacific region.

An avid supporter of incubating start-ups, Anndy has also been a private investor for the past eight years. With a growth investment mindset, Anndy strategically demonstrates this in the companies he chooses to be involved with. He believes that what he is doing through blockchain technology currently will revolutionise and redefine traditional businesses. Anndy Lian Shared his Blockchain Vision to Leaders from 20 Countries

Anndy Lian shared his blockchain knowledge with leaders from 20 countries at the closed door event “Strategic Planning Workshop” (SPW) organised by the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) on 9th July 2019.

This event was held in Japan, Tokyo where APO is headquarted. The SPW is an important event initiated by their Secretary General, Dr Santhi Kanoktanaporn for the senior planning officers. During the event, APO Vision for 2020 were presented. Key topics like blockchain technologies and smart manufacturing are also widely discussed.

Mr. Anndy Lian, Linfinity CEO and also the APO Blockchain Advisor presented an overview of the blockchain industry. He has quoted various used case studies that are published from his book “Blockchain Revolution 2030” and how the forth industrial revolution is built on blockchain and advanced artificial intelligence. He has also identified key industries that will need blockchain technologies- supply chain, medical, gaming and finance as part of his blockchain vision 2030.

”I want to share my blockchain knowledge with more people and I hope the members’ countries can benefit from the insights that I have shared during this senior planning workshop. I want them to understand the real truth behind blockchain technologies and how it can be implemented with ease and efficiently in their countries. We have heard too many myths about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, my session brought all of them back to the reality and together with the right business logics, many of them started to understand how this technology works and it will apply to them.” Anndy Lian said.

Anndy has also advised and will help APO to use blockchain to protect the authenticity of APO certificates. Finally, he sums up his speech by telling everyone that blockchain needs more time to develop and we should increase awareness and reach out to as many people as possible during this stage.

The Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) is an intergovernmental regional organisation and part of the United Nations, established by Convention in 1961 by several governments in Asia to hasten their economic development. The current membership is 20 economies, comprising Bangladesh, Cambodia, Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Republic of Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. These countries/economies pledge to assist each other in their productivity drives in a spirit of mutual cooperation by sharing knowledge, information, and experience.

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) announced its Advisor Appointment to Mr. Anndy Lian, CEO of LINFINITY, in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Santhi Kanoktanaporn, Secretary-General of APO, hosted the ceremony and personally presented the appointment to Mr. Lian.

Mr. Anndy Lian is an all-rounded business strategist with more than 15 years of experience in Asia. He has provided advisory across a variety of industries for local, international and public listed companies. Mr. Lian is also the founder, advisor and board member of several other companies in Asia and Europe. He currently plays a pivotal role at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Blockchain Special Committee, under the Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial government (Republic of Korea), helping the city to grow using blockchain technologies.
Currently, Mr. Lian is also the CEO of LINFINITY, a blockchain based supply chain solution provider based in Singapore and has strong foothold in South Korea, China and ASEAN. Prior to LINFINITY, Mr. Lian played a leadership role in not for profit and quasi government linked organisations such as Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Institute of International Affairs where he worked alongside with policy makers, private sector decision makers and experts to create impacts for different industries.

According to the appointment, Mr. Lian will perform his advisory role to advise the Secretariat on the latest concepts and applications of blockchain technologies in cybersecurity and IoT network data integrity across smart factories and upskill the Secretariat staff in blockchain technologies as applicable to productivity – through knowledge sessions, roundtable discussions and workshops. Mr. Lian will also be piloting blockchain-based information on-chaining and cybersecurity in IoT-enabled smart factories across selected APO members in the first phase and then eventually across APO’s 20-members and incubating a supportive blockchain eco-system for smart industries by crowdsourcing for promising blockchain business ideas; piloting projects which deploy innovative blockchain solutions across industries; and accelerating blockchain start-ups by giving technical, financial and consultancy support from various stakeholders and partners.
This appointment allows Mr. Lian to work closely with APO’s 20 members and help them move into a blockchainised industrial revolution, enhancing their productivity and competitiveness.
