AMA With Anndy Lian: What Life With Memecoins Has Taught Me

In a recent AMA titled Memes to Millions: The Next Big Thingblockchain strategist Anndy Lian shared his thoughts on the blazing trend in crypto: memecoins.

Lian, who is also a Techopedia columnist with more than 175,000 followers on X, talked about the role of community in memecoins, their impact on the crypto market, and the future of NFTs.

The session was hosted by Binance Community Associate ‘Diana’ and involved Anndy fielding questions for the audience.

The full two-hour video AMA is available below, but we take a closer look at the highlights of the discussion.

Can Memecoins Have Real Utility?

The first question Anndy came across was if memecoins could ever have real-world utility. “Yes, memecoins can have utility, but not at the beginning stage,” he said.

He explained that memecoins, which often start as community-driven hype, have the potential to evolve into more utility-focused projects. For instance, early-stage memecoins like Dogecoin started as a joke but later became widely used for tipping and micropayments.

Anndy also noted that, at the start, memecoins are only about community. “Only community — you know, technology can come later,” he said.

Are Memecoins Too Risky for Beginners?

Anndy acknowledged that the crypto market as a whole is risky, but memecoins carry an added layer of volatility. “All crypto coins are risky. It’s not about memecoins only,” he said.

However, he also shared some tips for investing in memecoins.

“If you want to do any form of memecoin investment or any other investment, always do your own research. This is the number one thing.”

“The second thing is…you have to then understand what kind of investor you are. Are you a retail investor, or are you an accredited investor?

“In general, most people are retail investors…they do not really understand the kind of risk [they are taking].

“Some started to play with derivatives, and they lost all their money. So, you first have to understand the risks involved.

“Ask yourself — are you willing to risk $1,000 to potentially gain 10x in six months, or do you prefer steady returns like 2x in three years? These are the questions investors must answer honestly.”

He further emphasized the importance of diversifying investments and not putting money into projects based solely on hype. He also suggested using tools like Bubble Maps to assess wallet activity and project legitimacy.

In a recent report, Binance Research also said that the survival rate of memecoins is alarmingly low. According to the report, 97% of memecoins launched over the past year have seen their trading volumes drop to nearly zero, essentially making them essentially defunct.

The Role of Community in Memecoin Success

“Community is everything when it comes to memecoins,” Anndy said. He noted that while the technology underpinning these coins can come later, a loyal and active community is crucial for their survival and growth.

He cited examples of coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, which have thrived due to their dedicated communities despite initial skepticism about their technological merit.

“If you are a memecoin, try your best to build your community fast. Try to work hard by talking to different exchanges, go to their posts, talk to them, pin them, add them — whatever you can do, just do it on a daily basis.”

The Rise of NFTs

Anndy, who authored the book NFT From Zero to Hero, shared his perspective on the role of NFTs in crypto. “I think things like NFTs, for example, are a really nice-to-have tool. I would not say it’s a utility; it’s a very good tool for people to interact, to exchange, and so forth,” he said.

“I do see that NFTs will eventually come back much later, and memecoins will definitely be the first to push it,” he added.

However, he also cautioned against repeating the mistakes of the last NFT boom, where many projects lacked long-term value.

“I hope this time around, this NFT craze is not just about money or some crazy prices but becomes a big tool for people to create communities.

“I do not really want to see the same outcomes that happened in the last NFT boom, because a lot of these NFTs right now — they are not working anymore due to maintenance and other issues.”

Considerations Before Investing in Memecoins

Anndy advised investors looking to navigate the memecoin market to take a cautious and analytical approach.

“First of all, there are a lot of free tools online — Bubble Maps and so forth.

“If you want to put your own money into memecoins, you will definitely need to use all these tools to see and understand how the project is — and see whether the wallets are concentrated and how all the transactions are being made.”

He also said investors need to avoid blind trust.

“Some leader might come to you and say, ‘Oh, someone robbed my wallet, my wallet is hacked, or maybe they will tell you that my secret key is being stolen.

“You don’t need to believe. You should only believe in what you can really see, which is the chart you can look at, the volume.

“Don’t believe, in say, ‘The founder is dead’. I know of projects where the founder died a few times.”

Exchanges and Memecoins

Anndy believes exchanges should take a tailored approach when listing memecoins:

“Memecoins need a separate set of criteria for listing. They can’t be judged by the same metrics as Layer 1 blockchains,” he argued.

He suggested that exchanges focus on metrics like genuine community engagement rather than inflated follower counts.

“I just urge exchangers to really look deep into how particular meme projects are doing. Look at all the key metrics, and from there, you make a decision.

“I urge exchanges including Binance, OKX, and whoever else: please have a separate set of criteria so that we can understand the meme market a lot better and get the right kind of meme to the exchange right in the very beginning.”

He also encouraged meme projects to actively engage with exchanges. “Don’t just wait for exchanges to notice you — approach them, build relationships, and grow your visibility.”

Partnerships for Memecoins

Anndy also noted the importance of collaboration, advising memecoin projects to use partnerships to enhance their ecosystems.

“Work with NFT platforms, Layer 1 blockchains, or tools like Copex to create value and gain rewards,” he said.

“I always encourage people or meme projects to make more money. Their main asset is the community. Bring the community to platforms like Copex where you can trade and get their native tokens.”

“Use the native tokens, sell them, don’t worry, just sell them and then use that as a marketing fund because it’s going to be a win-win. You bring people to them, you get some some good commission.”

Future Trends Beyond Memecoins

Shifting gears, Anndy discussed broader trends in the crypto space. He expressed excitement about the intersection of AI and DeFi, saying, “AI-related crypto projects, especially in finance, are going to be a major trend.”

“I still hope to see one or two more new layer narratives pop up in this cycle.”

“We have things like Aptos… but I hope to see a new narrative that’s going to pop up this time. I’m not sure what it could be, you know, it could be a meme-related one, but I really hope to see some new Layer 1 coming up to make some big waves so that everyone can go crazy.”

The Road Ahead for Memecoins

Looking to the future, Anndy predicted the rise of a few significant memecoins that will dominate the space in the next 1-2 years. He also called for older meme projects to stay true to their identities.

“Do not just give up. Just keep the name because it’s a legacy for all of you and your community members. Some of the coins that are dead — they are still in my wallet. It acts as a reminder for me that during that period of time, I met a lot of good friends.

“I hope people can look at this for a longer period and not just for one or two months and then after that change to another project. That’s meaningless.

“If you want to start a project, you continue to stay with it. I think people love you even if they can’t make money — they will still love you.”

The Bottom Line

Memecoins may start as jokes, but their success hinges on loyal communities and a clear vision.

As Anndy advises, approach the memecoin craze with curiosity, caution, and a dash of humor — because in crypto, it can be about making money, but it is also about enjoying the ride.

The Future of Blockchain

To get a clearer view of the evolution of blockchain in the next decade, as well as the opportunities and threats that the technology will create, we sat down with Anndy Lian, an inter-governmental blockchain expert and book author of Blockchain Revolution 2030.

Regulations and Policy Making

Q: Do you believe in the necessity of unified international laws and regulations regarding blockchain technologies to increase security regarding transactions and data management?

A: That’s a very complex and controversial question. Blockchain technology is a global and decentralized phenomenon that challenges the traditional notions of sovereignty, jurisdiction, and regulation. Different countries have different approaches and attitudes toward blockchain and its applications, especially cryptocurrencies. Some are more supportive and proactive, while others are more restrictive and reactive. There is no global consensus or coordination on how to regulate blockchain technologies, which creates uncertainty and inconsistency for users, developers, and regulators.

Blockchain technology is a global and decentralized phenomenon that challenges the traditional notions of sovereignty, jurisdiction, and regulation.”

On one hand, some may argue that unified international laws and regulations are necessary to increase security and trust in blockchain transactions and data management. They may claim that harmonized standards and rules would prevent fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, cyberattacks, and other illicit uses of blockchain technologies. They may also suggest that a global regulatory framework would foster innovation, collaboration, and interoperability among blockchain stakeholders and create a level playing field for fair competition.

On the other hand, some may argue that unified international laws and regulations are not feasible or desirable for blockchain technologies. They may contend that blockchain is inherently resistant to centralized control and intervention and that imposing uniform regulations would stifle its diversity, creativity, and potential. They could also point out that different countries have different legal systems, cultures, and values and that imposing a one-size-fits-all approach would violate their sovereignty and autonomy.

Therefore, I think there is no simple or definitive answer to this question. My preference is no.

Anyway, it depends on one’s perspective, interests, and values. I think there are pros and cons to both sides of the argument and that finding a balance between regulation and innovation is a difficult but important challenge for the future of blockchain technologies.

Q: Will regulatory standards and governance undermine the decentralized nature of blockchain or ensure consumer data protection and fraud prevention?

A: That’s another interesting question. I think it depends on the type and degree of regulation and governance that are applied to blockchain technologies. Some regulation and governance may be necessary and beneficial to ensure consumer data protection and fraud prevention, as well as to promote trust, transparency, and accountability in blockchain transactions and data management.

There is a trade-off between regulation and decentralization, and finding that optimal balance is not easy.”

However, excessive or inappropriate regulation and governance may undermine the decentralized nature of blockchain and compromise its advantages, such as efficiency, security, and innovation.

Therefore, I think there is a trade-off between regulation and decentralization and that finding the optimal balance is not easy. It may vary depending on the specific use case, context, and stakeholder of blockchain technologies. For example, some blockchain applications may require more regulation and governance than others, depending on the level of risk, complexity, and impact they involve. Similarly, some blockchain users may prefer more or less regulation and governance than others, depending on their preferences, expectations, and values.

I think the challenge is to design and implement regulations and governance that are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs and demands of blockchain technologies and their users. This requires a collaborative and participatory approach that involves all relevant actors, such as governments, regulators, developers, users, researchers, and civil society. This also requires a continuous learning and improvement process that monitors and evaluates the effects and outcomes of regulation and governance on blockchain technologies and their users.

Technological and Business Perspective

Q: What are the most crucial use cases of blockchain technology for the next decade?

A: Money transfer and cross-border payments. Blockchain technology can enable faster, cheaper, and more secure transactions of money across borders without intermediaries or fees. Blockchain technology can also support the creation and adoption of cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and CBDCs, which can offer alternative or complementary forms of money to traditional fiat currencies.

Data management and digital identity creation. Blockchain technology can provide a way to store, share, and verify data in a decentralized and immutable manner without relying on centralized authorities or intermediaries. Blockchain technology can also enable the creation and management of digital identities, which can give users more control, privacy, and security over their personal data and online activities.

Medical history digitization and personal identification security. Blockchain technology can help digitize and secure medical records, which can improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, as well as protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients. Blockchain technology can also help verify and authenticate personal identification documents, such as passports, driver’s licenses, or birth certificates, which can reduce fraud, identity theft, and human trafficking.

Top 3 Blockchain use cases

Q: Will smart contracts be highly adopted for trustless financial transactions and extended to stocks, bonds, futures, loans, mortgages, property rights, intellectual property, and other contracts?

A: Yes, smart contracts will be highly adopted for these purposes because they offer more efficiency, security, transparency, and innovation. They may claim that smart contracts can automate and streamline complex and repetitive processes, reduce transaction costs and risks, enhance trust and compliance, and enable new business models and opportunities. They may also suggest that smart contracts can empower users to have more control, choice, and participation in their financial activities.

Q: What opportunities does the convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain bring?

A: The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain will bring many opportunities for creating new products, services, and solutions that can benefit various domains and industries.

One of the opportunities is to create Web4, which is a term that refers to an intelligent and decentralized web ecosystem that leverages AI and blockchain technologies.

Web4 aims to overcome some of the limitations and challenges of the current web, such as centralization, privacy, security, scalability, and interoperability. It can enable more user-centric, democratic, and collaborative web applications that can empower users to have more control, choice, and participation in their online activities.

Economic Impact

Q: Will blockchain-based financial systems eventually replace traditional financial intermediaries?

A: Blockchain-based financial systems are a relatively new and emerging phenomenon that aims to provide alternative or complementary solutions to traditional financial intermediaries, such as banks, brokers, and exchanges. Blockchain-based financial systems leverage the features of blockchain technology, such as decentralization, transparency, immutability, and programmability, to offer various financial services, such as payments, lending, trading, investing, and insurance.

Some examples of blockchain-based financial systems are cryptocurrenciesdecentralized exchanges (DEXs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

[There is a view that] blockchain-based financial systems will not replace traditional financial intermediaries but rather coexist or integrate with them.”

Some may argue that blockchain-based financial systems will eventually replace traditional financial intermediaries because they offer more efficiency, security, accessibility, and innovation. They may claim that blockchain-based financial systems can eliminate the need for intermediaries that charge fees, impose restrictions, create bottlenecks and introduce risks. They may also suggest that blockchain-based financial systems can empower users to have more control, choice, and participation in their financial activities.

However, others may argue that blockchain-based financial systems will not replace traditional financial intermediaries but rather coexist or integrate with them. They may contend that blockchain-based financial systems still face many challenges and limitations, such as scalability, usability, regulation, and adoption. In addition, they may point out that traditional financial intermediaries still provide valuable functions and services, such as trust, stability, compliance, and expertise.

Q: Will traditional financial service providers change their business model and embrace blockchain technologies?

A: Yes, traditional financial service providers will change their business model and embrace blockchain technologies because they recognize the value and potential of blockchain technologies for improving their services, processes, and products.

They may claim that traditional financial service providers will adopt blockchain technologies to enhance their customer experience, reduce operational costs, comply with regulatory requirements, and gain a competitive edge. They could also suggest that traditional financial service providers will collaborate with blockchain startups, platforms, and networks to leverage their expertise, resources, and networks.

Q: Will companies that will tokenize their assets get a competitive advantage?

A: I think companies that will tokenize their assets will get a competitive advantage because they will be able to offer more attractive and innovative products and services to their customers, partners, and investors.

They may claim that tokenization of assets will enable companies to create new revenue streams, reduce operational costs, enhance customer experience and loyalty, and access new markets and investors. They could also suggest that the tokenization of assets will give companies an edge over their competitors, who are still using traditional methods of asset management and transfer.

Socio Cultural Impact

Q: Will blockchain technology eventually get widespread adoption? Will people start using and exploiting its potential even without fully understanding how the underlying technology works?

A: It seems that blockchain technology is gaining momentum and recognition among business leaders, but it still needs to overcome some obstacles and uncertainties before it can achieve mass adoption.

Such challenges and risks as regulatory uncertainty, lack of standardization, scalability issues, interoperability problems, and cultural resistance may hinder the widespread adoption of blockchain technology in the near future.

According to a survey by Deloitte, almost 80% of global executives view blockchain as “very important,” and more than 60% of executives believe regulatory issues pose a barrier to blockchain adoption. Another survey by SpendMeNot found that 81% of the 100 largest public companies indicate they use blockchain technology, and 30% of executives believe China will become a blockchain leader by 2023.

As for whether people will start using and exploiting its potential without fully understanding how it works, I think that depends on how user-friendly and accessible the blockchain applications are. Some people may not need to know the technical details of how blockchain works as long as they can trust and benefit from its features. Others may want to learn more about the underlying technology and how it can empower them to create value and innovation.

Trust me. All these are in the works right now. You may not see it, but [blockchain] adoption is on the rise.

Q: We all use the Internet and email but never think about how it works. Will it eventually be the case with blockchain, or is a proper education and understanding of the underlying technology required?

A: Blockchain will be used and implemented without informing you. This is already in the works. Some financial institutions and banks are using blockchain technology to clear the back-end functions that their customers initiate. They do not need to tell everyone about their adoption.

I think blockchain education is important for both users and developers of blockchain applications. Users need to be informed and empowered to use blockchain effectively and responsibly, while developers need to be skilled and innovative to create blockchain solutions that meet the needs and expectations of users.

Threats and Obstacles

Q: What are the major headwinds slowing down the development and further adoption of blockchain technologies?

A: Scalability. Blockchain networks can be slow and inefficient due to the high computational requirements needed to validate transactions. As the number of users, transactions, and applications increases, the ability of blockchain networks to process and validate them in a timely way becomes strained. This makes blockchain networks difficult to use in applications that require fast transaction processing speeds.

Regulation. Blockchain technology is subject to legal uncertainty and regulatory complexity, which can create barriers or conflicts for its adoption and enforcement. Different countries have different approaches and attitudes toward blockchain technology and its applications, especially cryptocurrencies. Some are more supportive and proactive, while others are more restrictive and reactive. There is no global consensus or coordination on how to regulate blockchain technology, which creates uncertainty and inconsistency for users, developers, and regulators.

Acceptance. Blockchain technology is still relatively new and unfamiliar to many people, who may not understand its benefits or trust its features. Blockchain technology also challenges the traditional notions of authority, intermediation, and control, which may create resistance or skepticism from some stakeholders. Blockchain technology requires a cultural shift and a mindset change for its adoption and acceptance.

Q: Sustainability is also a growing concern. Is blockchain able to enhance environmental sustainability?

A: Blockchain technology can enable more effective and accountable climate action initiatives, such as carbon markets, climate finance, or climate governance. Blockchain technology can also enable the creation and exchange of digital tokens that represent environmental values or assets, such as carbon credits, green bonds, or natural capital.

“Start With the Basics”

Q:  Anndy, what is your personal advice to those who haven’t yet delved into the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies? What is the starting point?

A: Start with the basics. Before diving into the technical details or the latest trends, it is important to understand the fundamental concepts and principles of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.

You can start by learning about what cryptocurrencies are, how they work, and why they matter. You can also learn about what blockchain technology is, how it works, and why it is revolutionary.

There are many online courses and resources available for learning about blockchain technology, as well as initiatives that support blockchain innovation in education. I think these are valuable opportunities for anyone who wants to learn more about blockchain and its potential impact.

You can follow Anndy for the latest industry updates on LinkedIn and Twitter.

Green Satoshi Token price prediction: Will M2E crypto rebound?

Green Satoshi Token price prediction: Will M2E crypto rebound?

The green satoshi token (GST), the utility token of the STEPN project, started 2022 with a high, but soon burnt out amid a wider negative shift in investor sentiment. Being the pioneer of move-to-earn (M2E) projects, STEPN, a Web3 app powered by the GST token, inspired crypto enthusiasts to exercise while earning money.

However, as the wider crypto market collapsed, following the fall of the TerraUSD stablecoin and its sister cryptocurrency LUNA, so did GST. Its price action relies on the performance of the Solana (SOL) blockchain, where  it was built.

What do experts have to say, and what other factors will shape the green satoshi token price prediction?

What is the green satoshi token?

The green satoshi token (GST) is the native cryptocurrency of the Web3 lifestyles app STEPN, according to the project’s whitepaper.

STEPN combines SocialFi and GameFi elements and is built “around an essential daily activity for most people – moving around”.

When STEPN launched in December 2021, it was the first M2E mobile non-fungible token (NFT) game powered by the Solana network. The game was created by a fintech studio based in Australia named Find Satoshi lab.

In the game, users equip themselves with NFT Sneakers and can either jog, walk or run outdoors to earn GST tokens. Players can also choose whether they want to lease or sell their NFT Sneakers on the in-app Marketplace.

“With Game-Fi, STEPN aims to nudge millions toward a healthier lifestyle, combat climate change and connect the public to Web 3.0, all while simultaneously hinging on it’s Social-Fi aspect to build a long-lasting platform fostering user generated Web 3.0 content,” the platform’s whitepaper said in a statement.

STEPN is currently under a Public Beta Phase. The application makes profit from small taxes on in-app activities, like NFT trading, Shoe-minting and Shoe-rental.In addition, part of STEPN’s profit goes to buy Carbon Removal Credit on the blockchain to combat climate change.

STEPN has a dual token system:

  • GMT is the platform’s governance token
  • GST is the platform’s utility token.

The two tokens are utilised for different purposes within the platform. GST tokens can be used to level up or mint new NFT Sneakers or even cash out for profit, meanwhile GMT tokens can be used for customisation fees.

STEPN has a burn mechanism which means tokens are available in a limited supply. Both GMT and GST tokens are burned through a number of in-app activities.

In order to become part of the STEPN community, a person must first download the STEPN mobile app, register an account and open a wallet. Users deposit SOL tokens to the built-in STEPN wallet with which they can buy NFT Sneakers.

Activity rewards motivate users to use the app everyday for sports, thus pushing them to continue to exercise.

The total supply of GST tokens amounts to a little over 286m – over 276m tokens are currently in circulation, according to data provided by CoinMarketCapas of 20 July. GST has a market capitalisation surpassing $18m and is ranked as the 621st largest cryptocurrency.

In 2021, STEPN finished fourth out of over 500 projects at the Solana Ignition Hackathon.

GST price analysis

The GST token was arguably one of the most successful tokens of 2022 as it embarked on a bullish trend shortly after launch. Debuting at $1.8451 on 22 December 2021, the token gained nearly 70% in two weeks as it reached $3.1216 on 6 January 2022.

Even though it managed to lose some momentum between 16 and 20 January, GST started a steady climb to $2.9423 by 20 February, up from $1.6839 lows a month earlier.

GST/USD chart, December 2021 – July 2022

Between 1 and 6 March, the GST token jumped by nearly 50%, reaching its then all-time high of $3.9838. A second jump followed in April, when the token first reached $4.7337 on 1 April, surging to $5.4805 six days later.

After some downward action and fluctuation between $4 and $5, the token skyrocketed to $7.8233 – a 42.7% surge since its 7 April value and a 324% jump since its launch in December 2021.

Following the massive surge, the token dipped on the following day and lost over 45% of its value as it fell back to the $4 levels. The token is trading at its record lows, as of 20 July.

As of 20 July, the coin was valued at $0.06673, a 96.4% decline since its launch in December and a 99.1% fall since its all-time high in April.

This comes amid a wider shift in market sentiment to risk-off due to the tightening cycle of monetary policy, soaring inflation, the war in Ukraine, and fears of recession, with cryptocurrency veterans bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) down 48% and 56% respectively year-to-date.

Key GST news that are driving the token

The GST token seemed to have been performing fairly well at the start of May. However, the positive rally was short-lived as the token soon embarked on a bearish trend following the collapse of the TerraUSD (UST) stablecoin and its sister token LUNA that brought down a sea of other cryptocurrencies.

In addition, the token was affected by a Solana outage on 30 April. The outage happened in Solana’s Mainnet Beta cluster which ceased producing blocks as result of stalled consensus. Even though the system was quickly restored and the GST token ended up dipping by 48.7% in a day.

The biggest STEPN news, however, came on 22 April, Earth Day 2022, several days before the GST token reached its all-time high, as the coin announced its goal of carbon neutrality. As the company noted:

“STEPN, a Web3 lifestyle app, is kickstarting their mission toward combating climate change and achieving carbon neutrality with a purchase of $100,000 worth of Carbon Removal Tonnes, or 5,797.1 tonnes. STEPN will continue to power the movement to reverse climate change with a monthly commitment to pay for carbon removal.”

On 27 April Coinbase announced that it would be adding support for GMT and GST tokens. A day later, OpenSea said that STEPN NFTs were “now available” on the platform.

Following the news, the GST token surged by around 65% in April to its all-time high of $7.8233.

In addition, at the start of April, STEPN released its first quarterly GMT results, which saw a profit of 198,635.62 SOL ($26,815,807.35 at the time) from the platform’s NFT marketplace trading and royalty fees.

One week later, the platform announced that over the previous few months, the app was used by 200,000 daily active users. In the aftermath of positive news, the GST cryptocurrency grew by around 15%, from $4.7337 on 1 April to $5.4422 on 8 April.

On 28 February the company announced that it was looking into launching two updates: a merge spending account with Wallet and an NFT marketplace upgrade. On 1 March the platform announced a giveaway and the token was made available to buy on the Binance Launchpad.

GST price prediction: What should traders look out for?

In the third quarter of 2022, STEPN is planning to launch the spin-off of their NFT marketplace. In the fourth quarter it plans to implement a system where players can rent each other’s sneakers for running.

According to Mark Fidelman, the founder of SmartBlocks and host of the Cryptonized podcast, the GST token “is a speculation”.

“That’s what’s driving its price action. It’s a pretty cool concept, but I don’t think the token price is going to go anywhere in the future,” he told Capital.com.

Fidelman added that whilst STEPN’s main goal is to pay people to be healthy and move around, the token has no other value that could be driving it forward.

“I mean, yes, [people] have to buy NFT’s before they can start moving around on the app and there’s some money there, but the amount of money [people] are spending, or the token is spending, on people moving can’t be paid back because there’s no underlying value there.”

Anndy Lian, the chief digital advisor at Mongolian Productivity Organisation and the author of Blockchain Revolution 2030, added that in order for GST to pick up its pace again, STEPN must try to “find a place within the GameFi space”.

“GST has to scale up or find more users sustainably. Earning $1 daily by walking seems to be more sustainable compared to $30. The company should rethink its marketing strategy for it to scale up,” Lian added.
“When that is addressed, they can find real investors who are interested in their product and not just trying to make money off it. This will also help them to position themselves to attract more prominent institutions or sports brands to buy into their company too.”

Both Lian and Fidelman agreed that STEPN proposes a unique concept, however, the company must work on their marketing strategy and value in order to return to past highs.

“STEPN is the pioneer in the move-to-earn space. This will continue to give them a good head start. I wrote a lot about them in my new book titled NFT: From Zero to Hero. My friendly piece of advice for the team is to get them to sprint and not walk,” Lian concluded.
Fidelman added: “Maybe if they figure out an exercise model that works, maybe that would work. But this has been tried with startups and failed miserably.”

Green satoshi token price prediction

In line with recent action, algorithm-based forecasting service Wallet Investor gave a bearish green satoshi token price prediction.

As of 20 July, the site called GST is “a bad investment”. According to the website’s future GST coin price prediction, the token could fall to $0.0223 in 2023.

DigitalCoinPrice on the other hand, had a more bullish view on the GST crypto price prediction.

According to its green satoshi token price prediction for 2022, the cryptocurrency could average at $0.0998 by the end of the year.

The site’s  green satoshi token price prediction for 2025 suggested that the coin could average $0.13 and $0.22 by 2028. Meanwhile, DigitalCoinPrice’s long-term green satoshi token price prediction for 2030 indicated that the cryptocurrency could average at $0.31 during the year.

Note that price predictions can be wrong. Forecasts shouldn’t be used as a substitute for your own research. Always conduct your own due diligence, and never invest or trade money you cannot afford to lose.
