2018 Shenzhen International Maker Week LINFINITY Huaqiangbei SEG UP IoT Summit, exclusively titled sponsored by LINFINITY is going to kick off on 12-15 October in Shenzhen, China. This four-day event, themed at Internet of Things, is to help more technology enthusiasts to understand the most advanced technologies of the times, and blockchain’s role in empowering the traditional industry.
Adhering to “Connecting Things and Integrating Development” as the long-term vision, Shenzhen is to experience a boost of its construction of a modern, international and innovative city. Hosted by the local government, this event will consist of two sections, Science and Technology Carnival and Round Table Forum.
The Science and Technology Carnival exhibition area will feature more than 300 consumable smart technology products, including smart homes, smart robots, wearable devices, drones, smart bikes, motion sensing game, VR game and so on. In the Roundtable Forum, LINFINITY will join hands with industry partners and experts to discuss the commercialization of blockchain technology as well as its empowerment on Internet of Things.
It is worth noting that this “International Maker Week” is a state-level event which is strongly supported and directed by Shenzhen Government and Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipal. This summit is also one of the key national scientific and technological innovation events initiated by the Chinese government. Mr. Huang Wei and Mr. Ye Wenge, Vice Chief Executive of the District Government, Mr. Shen Jie, National IoT Standard Work Team Leader will attend the event. At that time, LINFINITY CEO Anndy Lian will attend the opening ceremony of SEG Plaza on the 12th with the Shenzhen government leaders and Shenzhen entrepreneur representatives.
Anndy Lian is an early blockchain adopter and experienced serial entrepreneur who is known for his work in the government sector. He is a best selling book author- “NFT: From Zero to Hero” and “Blockchain Revolution 2030”.
Currently, he is appointed as the Chief Digital Advisor at Mongolia Productivity Organization, championing national digitization. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Chairman of BigONE Exchange, a global top 30 ranked crypto spot exchange and was also the Advisory Board Member for Hyundai DAC, the blockchain arm of South Korea’s largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group. Lian played a pivotal role as the Blockchain Advisor for Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), an intergovernmental organization committed to improving productivity in the Asia-Pacific region.
An avid supporter of incubating start-ups, Anndy has also been a private investor for the past eight years. With a growth investment mindset, Anndy strategically demonstrates this in the companies he chooses to be involved with. He believes that what he is doing through blockchain technology currently will revolutionise and redefine traditional businesses. He also believes that the blockchain industry has to be “redecentralised”.
