On March 14th, LINFINITY formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in Tokyo, Japan, to enable widespread adoption of blockchain-based cybersecurity technologies in APO member countries. The initiative will help Asia-Pacific enterprises join smart manufacturing chains through the innovative use of blockchain solutions.

Established in 1961 as an intergovernmental organization, the APO works with 20 member governments in the Asia-Pacific region to improve productivity in the countries and drives sustainable socioeconomic development of the region through policy advisory services, acting as a think tank, and undertaking smart initiatives in the industry, agriculture, service, and public sectors. This cooperation is an important milestone in the international and commercial development of LINFINITY and will also bolster LINFINITY’s goal of going global with their blockchain-based anti-counterfeiting technology. The cooperation also marks a big breakthrough for LINFINITY in its expansion of Asia-Pacific market.

Dr. Santhi Kanoktanaporn, Secretary-General of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) said that as a leading intergovernmental organization in the Asia-Pacific region, the APO is committed to helping member economies improve productivity and competitiveness by adopting digital technologies, including Industry 4.0 tools.
“Within the region, there is a growing willingness to make manufacturing smart using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The hyperconnected Industry 4.0 environment also makes the security of digital assets a critical area. The decentralized, digitized, public, and shared blockchain ledger system shows the potential for strengthening cybersecurity across traditional and smart industries,” Dr. Santhi Kanoktanaporn stated. He noted that the initiative would enable the adoption of blockchain-based cybersecurity technologies and enhance data transfer security in smart factories.
